(Rising Star) Young Professional of the Year Award

Description:
The PWEA Young Professional of the Year Award was established to recognize an individual who has made significant contributions to the water environment industry early in their career. This award acknowledges outstanding performance, leadership, and service to PWEA, as well as the recipient’s commitment to advancing the water environment profession through innovation, professional development, and community engagement.

Award Criteria:
The recipient must have demonstrated exceptional initiative, professionalism, and leadership in their work or volunteer efforts. This includes contributions to PWEA programs, committees, or events; advancement of water quality, environmental protection, or sustainability initiatives; and active promotion of professional growth among peers. Candidates should exemplify the future of the industry through their dedication, technical excellence, and collaborative spirit.

Eligibility:
Nominee must be under 35 years of age at the time of nomination and must be current member in good standing of PWEA.

Nomination Process:
The Young Professionals Committee will review all nominations and forward its recommendation(s) to the Awards Committee. The Awards Committee will make the final selection of the award recipient.
